Byzantine Music Classes

Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19

This is the webpage for the Holy Trinity Cathedral Byzantine Music Class and Choir. With the permission of His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco, Holy Trinity Cathedral of Phoenix AZ is sponsoring these classes for the purpose of training a new generation of Cantors for the Orthodox churches of the area and to promote the production and performance of English-language Byzantine Chant.

Classes meet every Thursday in the Cathedral Choir Library (located in the choir loft of the cathedral building) from 6:00 PM until approximately 8:00 PM. the classes this year will be a little more intense because we need singers in the Byzantine Choir. We encourage our people to attend these classes, become members of our Byzantine Choir, or become Readers and Cantors for the area parishes.

This webpage is dedicated to the memory of our Father among the Saints, Caedmon of Whitby, the Father of English Sacred Song.
